Primary needs in rail transportation for freight and passengers. Diesel exhaust emissions present a unique and deadly challenge to locomotive operators and surrounding environments. Due largely in part to the high levels of harmful emission concentrations from the locomotive exhaust, the health, performance and safety of its operators and surrounding environments are jeopardized when exposed to diesel exhaust.
